According to the ministry of finance data, digital payment transactions volume reached a staggering Rs 11,660 crore in 2023 from Rs 3,134 crores in 2018-19

The government has received about Rs 5,091 crore from Indian Oil Corp as dividend, the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) said on Thursday.
The "Government has received about Rs 5,091 crore from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) as dividend tranche," DIPAM Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey said in a post on X.
During the current financial year 2024-25, so far Rs 10,604.74 crore has been obtained through dividend from the CPSEs.
This include Rs 40 crore from Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), Rs 554 crore from Power Finance Corp, and Rs 3,443 crore from Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) as special dividend.
In the current fiscal, the government has budgeted to collect Rs 56,260 crore as dividend from public sector enterprises, up from Rs 50,000 crore in 2023-24 fiscal.
Separately, country's largest insurer Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has paid a dividend of Rs 3,662.17 crore for FY2023-24.

Infosys on Thursday said it has expanded its partnership with American chipmaker NVIDIA to develop GenAI-powered solutions for telecom operators.

Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi on Thursday launched a centralised platform designed to make workplaces safer for women by addressing and managing complaints of sexual harassment.
The SHe-Box portal is a significant advancement in the government's ongoing efforts to safeguard women in the workplace, the ministry said in a statement.
The launch event in Delhi also witnessed the introduction of a revamped ministry website.
The ministry said the portal would function as a centralised repository for information related to internal committees and local committees across the country, covering both the government and private sectors.
The portal will allow women to file complaints, track their status, and ensure that the grievances are processed in a timely manner.
It also features a designated nodal officer to enable real-time monitoring of complaints, thereby providing a streamlined and assured redressal process, the statement said.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said the government has invested Rs 1,000 crore in the past three years to develop the Ayush infrastructure in the state, including an International Institute of Ayurveda Research and a new Ayurveda medical college in Idukki district.
