MI vs RR Live Score, IPL 2023: Match Summary

It was a historic chase at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and it came on a historic occasion. Mumbai Indians became the first side to chase down a score beyond 200 at this venue and they did it in the 1000th game in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Chasing 213 for victory, Mumbai’s start was poor as their skipper Rohit Sharma was removed by Sandeep Sharma early. However, Ishan Kishan and Cameron Green added more than fifty for the second wicket. Both were removed by Ravichandran Ashwin.

Suryakumar Yadav scored a quickfire fifty. He was however caught brilliantly by Sandeep even as Mumbai needed 62 more to win from 26 balls. Tim David then played a blinder knock of 45* off just 14 balls which included three sixes off the first three balls of the last over to win the game, when his team needed 17 from six balls.

Earlier in the evening, after winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Rajasthan were powered by a brilliant 62-ball 124 from Yashasvi Jaiswal to reach 212 in their 20 overs.
