In September, 22-year-old Iranian girl Mahsa Amini died after being detained for allegedly violating Iran&amp;#39;s laws requiring women to wear a headscarf. Authorities said she died of illness, but her family claimed she fell into a coma after being mistreated by the police. Sources said the police beat Amini with a baton and banged her head against a vehicle. At her funeral on September 17 in Saqez, women protested by ripping off their hijabs. Protests sparked by her demise have since roped in ethnic minorities and even school children. Thousands of women since then have been showing solidarity by cutting their hair and burning their hijabs in public.
						
						Now, the unrest has spread beyond a women&amp;#39;s right to a movement that is calling for an end to theocratic rule. The protests are now the most broadly supported movement in Iran in over four decades.

Delhi records below-normal minimum temperature of 19.5 deg C

	The national capital on Friday recorded a minimum temperature of 19.5 degrees Celsius, five notches below normal, with the weather department forecasting a partly cloudy sky throughout the day. The relative humidity was recorded at 70 per cent at 8:30 am. According to the India Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is likely to settle at 34 degrees Celsius.</div>

Ukraine shoots its own drones over central Kiev after loosing control

	The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that it shot down one of its own drones after &quot;losing control&quot; over central Kiev. On Thursday night, there were explosions for around 15 to 20 minutes as air defence attempted to shoot the drone down in an area near the President&#39;s office, reports the BBC.</p>

	In a statement, the air force admitted that the Bayraktar TB2 UAV had lost control around at 8 p.m. in the Kiev region, during a scheduled flight.</p>

Vice President Dhankhar departs for UK to attend King Charles III's coronation ceremony

	Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday embarked on a two days visit to London, United Kingdom to attend the Coronation ceremony of King Charles III which will take place on the morning of May 6. During his visit to the United Kingdom, Dhankhar will join a gathering of about 2,000 dignitaries, including heads of state and government, at the coronation ceremony. The Vice President is accompanied by his spouse, Sudesh Dhankhar for the UK visit.</div>
