On Day 3 (September 26) of the 19th edition of the Asian Games, India won Gold in the Equestrian Team Dressage event and secured three medals- one silver and two bronze in Sailing to take the Indian medal tally to 15 medals. At the end of all the events of the day, India remained in the sixth position with three gold medals in the kitty.

Indian men's hockey team defeated Singapore 16-1 while the men's volleyball team lost to Pakistan 0-3 in the fifth-place playoff. In Shooting, it was a disappointing day as India could not win any medal although Manu Bhaker topped the qualification charts in women's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol. She will eye gold on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
