Asian Games 2023 Highlights: India lose to Chinese Taipei in women football

India had a superb start in the Asian Games 2023 on Thursday as the Indian women's cricket team entered the semifinal, which will take place on September 24. The Indian men's football team kept their knockout hopes alive after beating Bangladesh 1-0 in a tightly contested game in Pool A. They will next face Myanmar on September 24 as well. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan women's cricket team also moved to the semis after their match against Indonesia was washed out. The Indian women's football team was also in action today. They began their campaign against Chinese Taipei and after leading 1-0 at till the 67th minute, lost the match 1-2 at the end. 

The Indian women's cricket team moved into the semis after the India vs Malaysia cricket match was called off due to rain. Women in Blue entered the last 4 by virtue of higher seeding.
