Indian market's contribution to Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson's global net sales rose by 9 percentage points to 11 per cent in the January-March quarter of 2023 compared to the year-ago period.
Ericsson India contributed 2 per cent to the global net sales in January-March 2022.
The Swedish firm on Tuesday posted a 14 per cent year-on-year growth in net sales to 62.6 billion Swedish Krona (SEK) in March 2023 quarter from 55.1 billion SEK.
With 11 per cent contribution, Ericsson India revenue during the reported stands at around Rs 5,600 crore.
"In market area South East Asia, Oceania and India, sales adjusted for comparable units and currency increased by 132 per cent YoY primarily driven by 5G market share gains in India as well as timing of project milestones in the Philippines and Malaysia," Ericsson said.
Net sales of Ericsson plunged by 20 per cent in North East Asia and 18 per cent in North America.

Ray said geopolitics can no more be overlooked by IT companies in the aftermath of the Russia-Ukraine crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.
"In the IT industry, we were very happy to keep ourselves away from politics, but now it will become an integral part of information technology, because decisions about places where we can do business and with whom will be driven by geopolitics. We have to adjust to this," he told PTI on the sidelines of a session at INFOCOM 2022, an IT event organised by the ABP Group.
The senior company official said business leadership needs to be redefined in today's times, and a key aspect of that is to take into account factors like "nowcasting".

Currently, Rapido Auto has engaged 50 female 'captains' hailing from diverse backgrounds in the city for its ride-hailing service, and it aims add more than 200 active captains in the next three months through collaborations with various Coimbatore-based non-governmental organisations, the company said in a release.
Rapido will equip the women captains with essential safety and driving skills through the comprehensive training programme in collaboration with the NGOs. It also plans to launch micro-loans and family health insurance for women auto captains in Coimbatore, the release added.
This initiative would enable women to earn between Rs 800 and Rs 1,000 a day, translating to a monthly income of Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000, it added.
