Hero Future Energies on Tuesday said it has signed two agreements with REC and PFC to develop green energy projects.
The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the 4th G20 Energy Transition Working Group meeting, which concluded last week in Goa, Hero Future Energies said in a statement.
"Hero Future Energies (HFE) has signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with REC Ltd and PFC Ltd for infusion of Rs 3,100 crore each into HFE over the next five years," it said.
The funds will be used to develop renewable projects across the country, including solar and wind for commercial and industrial customers, utility projects and green hydrogen derivatives, and will strengthen the company by ensuring the financial closure for future projects.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh Saturday iterated that security personnel involved in the "excessive use of force" against students during a crackdown on a protest rally here in connection with the alleged killing of two students will be punished.
He appealed to the people to remain united, maintain calm and collectively fight the enemies of the state, which has witnessed ethnic violence.
Expressing shock over the incident in Imphal area which more than 100 students were injured in clashes with security forces on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, Singh, who was speaking at the sidelines of a programe here, said "I am really shocked at the excessive use of force ... at what was done to the children. Ministers of the state have personally met the injured students."
Inquiry is on into the serious injury to the students. "Those responsible for the extreme injuries will be arrested and be dealt with legally," the chief minister said.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami returned here on Saturday from his five-day UK visit and said the push to investments in the state will create fresh employment opportunities for the local youth.
"We inked MoUs for investments worth more than Rs 12,500 crore with international firms during the visit. A large number of investors, which also include NRIs, are keen to invest in the state. Many of them are coming to attend the Global Investors Summit being held in December," Dhami told reporters soon after his arrival at Bannu School ground in race course area here.
"It is all very exciting for us. The coming of more investors to the state will create fresh employment opportunities for the local youth. It will also help double the state's GDP in the coming years," Dhami said.

The Union government gave a nine-month extension in service "on contract basis" to CBDT Chairperson Nitin Gupta on Saturday, the day of his scheduled retirement.
Gupta (60), a 1986-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the Income-tax department, was appointed the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) head in June last year.
He was scheduled to retire on September 30.
The government order said the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the re-appointment of Gupta as the CBDT Chairman on a contract basis, with effect from 1.10.2023 till 30.06.2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, in relaxation of the recruitment rules, on usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed central government officers.
The CBDT is the apex policy-making body for the Income-tax department. It is headed by a chairman and can have six members who are in the rank of special secretary.

L&T on Tuesday said one of its subsidiaries has bagged a 'large' contract for construction of a bridge in Mumbai.
The transportation infrastructure business vertical of L&T Construction has received the Dahisar-Bhayander Bridge project in Mumbai, L&T said in a statement.
The project has been awarded by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). The 4.5-kilometre bridge will significantly reduce the travel time between Dahisar and Bhayander, which currently takes more than 45 minutes.
Though the company did not specify the exact value of the contract, as per its specification, a large contract ranges between Rs 2,500-5,000 crore.

Salam Sunil Singh, son of a fisherman, and Arjun Singh, born to a factory worker, grew up 2000km apart from each other. But there is a binding thread  an unending passion for water sports unhindered by their difficult formative years.

Commercial ports operator JSW Infrastructure, which got listed on the bourses on Tuesday, said it has a huge potential to grow its business and aims to become a global company, JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal has said.
Speaking at the listing event, Jindal cited the example of Singapore and said that it is a City-State and handles more cargo than all of India. "We can also create such ports which handle not just our own cargo but also of the countries around us," he said.
"We cannot think only India centric, we have to think global and we have to really build ourselves as a global company. So we have to really think at those levels," he said.
Jindal further said that India has a large coastline and logistics cost in the country is among the highest in the world.
